Yes my friends and colleagues it’s been 10 years. Two events in the past decade have touched us all. The tragic loss of WR Chris Grady in the 9/11 attacks and, our MVP quarterback Rich Capellini’s 7 year old daughter was stricken with bone cancer and had to have her leg amputated. We’ll gather at the field for what should be a spirited if not hilarious football game and then shoot back to the pub for memories, videos, old war stories and poetry from an incredible unbeaten season. Tom “Oakies Karaoke” Bruno has offered his services this afternoon for free so the joint will be jumpin!! Of course we’ll be accepting donations for the Grady and Capellini families. Our benefactor and sponsor Tony Bartholomeo has generously put together an optional all you can eat and drink 3 hour package for $30.00 a head with partial proceeds going to the families. Of course this invitation is not limited to our football team. All family, friends, acquaintances, and neighborhood athletes are welcome and encouraged to join in what will be an unforgettable occasion!
